How and why to book a Benenden Health Assessment

Find out how healthy you are

If you want to better understand your health, booking a Health Assessment might be a good idea. Here’s why.

Why should I have a health assessment?

A health assessment is designed to highlight possible health concerns in the early stages. Even if you’re not feeling unwell, some conditions like high blood pressure or high cholesterol may have no symptoms but could dramatically affect your quality of life in the future. A health assessment delivers a series of tests and examinations that can help identify warning signs of hereditary and hidden illnesses and can provide tests that aren't normally available on the NHS unless you're symptomatic. It's an excellent opportunity to help you gain a better understanding of your current state of health and how you can work towards improving it.

Benenden Health are proud to partner with Bluecrest Wellness, to provide more affordable and convenient health assessments for our members. Our aim is to inspire and motivate you to live a healthier, happier, and longer life.

What kinds of things will I be tested for?

Our range of health assessments include tests for heart disease, cholesterol, glucose, liver function, kidney function, digestive disorders, bowel health, anaemia and many more. With five levels of clinic assessments to choose from, you should be able to find one that suits you. Whichever level you choose, you’ll also receive a 12-point biometric body assessment includes body fat, hydration levels, metabolic age, bone mass and more. Following your health assessment, a personalised health report, which includes appropriate follow-up advice and a GP summary will be prepared and issued to you digitally and a print copy will be posted to you within 21 days.

If you would prefer to monitor your health from the comfort of home, our convenient new home testing kits can do just that. There are three levels to suit your needs and offer 21 to 37 blood readings. As it can be a little difficult to collect your own blood sample, a friendly online health coach will guide you through the self-collection test to ensure a safe and effective sample is taken. Once you’ve dropped your sample into the post, your test results will be ready to view online within 8 days.

How long does it take?

The clinic health assessments take between 20 and 40 minutes depending on the level of assessment you choose. Watch this video to see how simple it is to have a clinic health assessment.

If you choose a home testing kit, you will be able to book a thirty minute appointment with an online virtual health coach to support you through the self-collection process. Watch our video to see just how easy it can be to use our new home test kit.

Where can I have it done?

Bluecrest Wellness provide their health assessments at over 2,000 mobile clinics nationwide. Clinics are usually set up in meeting rooms within comfortable hotels or conference centres. Not only does this mean convenience – you should find a clinic close to where you live or work – it also means overheads are low and the savings can be passed on to our members.

Of course, if you choose a home testing kit, this will be carried out in the comfort of your own home!
